Best Original Irish Cream Recipe—Easy

Shhh.  I am sharing this recipe with you. It is a family recipe.Traditionally shared once you married into the Rafferty clan, this recipe is easy and delicious.  In addition, it makes a great holiday gift for a housewarming, Christmas, Hanukkah or just about any family get together.  Please try it and let me know what you think.

Ingredients:
1 cup rye whiskey—preferably Seagram's 7
1 cup half & half
1 can sweetened condensed milk
2 eggs
1 tablespoon honey
2 teaspoon chocolate syrup 

Beat all ingredients in a a blender for three minutes and make a day before you consume so the ingredients can settle.

This tasty after dinner drink is a nice way to end a meal with friends and or family. And since this is a Bronx Irish American blog, it is noteworthy to point out that this dessert drink is similar to Coquito (coconut cream drink) that our Puerto Rican friends and neighbors drink and love.  Slainte!
